I have lived in Southern California my entire life and San Diego County all but 3 years of it. I love this city, first moving to San Marcos in 1987. The city has changed quite a bit but I believe we've managed to maintain a smaller city feel. Since I joined the council in 2007, I have worked hard to make sure we keep some of the rural feel while offering world class recreational opportunites, making sure the community is as safe as possible and fiscally solid for the future.
My husband Paul and I believe that one of the most impactful ways to give back to our community is to invest in the children of San Marcos which is why we have been annual sponsors of the San Marcos Boys & Girls Club for several years and host the annual Sunset Soiree fundraiser for the Club. I have also been co-chair of the annual auction, am a member of the annual auction committee and an Advisory Board Member.
My family and I have attended The Fathers House for over 13 years. I regularly volunteer with the Kids ministry and First Impressions. I recently went on a Missions trip to India and a charity hike partnering with Operation Mobilization to the Grand Tetons in Wyoming to bring awareness to and raise funds to combat Modern Day Slavery.
Paul and I have been married for 22 years and are raising our teenage daughter and our young adult son in San Marcos, they have participated in several sports leagues in our city. Our son it attending Palomar College for EMT and Firefighter/Paramedic training.
